DAY 1 Depart from Chengdu Hotel → Panda Base - Sanxingdui Museum - Stay in Dujiangyan (Enjoy the night view of Dujiangyan)
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda BreedingThe base is home to many adorable giant pandas, where you can observe these cuddly national treasures up close. It is located in the northern suburbs of Chengdu, about 10 kilometers from the city center, and is designed to fully simulate the giant pandas' natural habitat, featuring lakes, streams, bamboo forests, and lawns.
The must-visit landmark is our iconic Panda Tower. As the new landmark of Chengdu, it is situated at the highest point of the base, standing 69.8 meters tall with 11 floors. Its shape resembles a large bamboo shoot, while the interior resembles a blooming hibiscus flower, featuring 81 platforms for visitors to enjoy the scenic view of the base from multiple angles.
【Sanxingdui Museum】The Sanxingdui Museum is located on the southern bank of the Duck River in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, China. Covering an area of over 300 acres, it is a modern thematic site museum. The museum has two main exhibition halls: the Comprehensive Hall and the Bronze Hall. The Comprehensive Hall primarily showcases the historical background, cultural connotation, and overall appearance of the artifacts unearthed from the Sanxingdui site. The Bronze Hall focuses on the numerous bronze artifacts discovered at Sanxingdui, which are known for their unique shapes and exquisite craftsmanship, possessing high artistic and historical value. In addition to the main exhibition halls, the museum features several temporary exhibition spaces for various thematic exhibitions and cultural activities. The architectural design of the museum is distinctive, using a modernist design style that complements the historical and cultural atmosphere of the Sanxingdui site.
After the tour, transfer to the hotel in Dujiangyan. After dinner, you can take an evening stroll in the ancient town of Guanxian and enjoy the night view of the South Bridge.
DAY 2 Depart from the hotel → Dujiangyan Scenic Area (View of the Water Conservancy Project) - Qingcheng Mountain - Return to Chengdu
The Dujiangyan Scenic Area is located on the main stream of the Min River in the western part of Dujiangyan City. It was built by Li Bing, the governor of Shu State during the Qin Dynasty, along with his son, around the year 256 BC. It is currently the most well-preserved ancient water conservancy project in China. The project consists of three main structures: the Fish Mouth Diversion Dam, the Flying Sand Weir Flood Discharge Channel, and the Bottle Mouth Water Intake, as well as auxiliary structures like the BaIZhang Dam and the Y-shaped Dam. It divides the surging Min River into the outer river for flood discharge and the inner river for irrigation, turning the western Sichuan Plain into a "Land of Abundance."
Qingcheng Mountain has long been renowned for its beauty under the name "Qingcheng, the most serene in the world." It is divided into two parts: the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is the main part of Qingcheng Mountain, where Daoist culture and historical relics are concentrated, and it is what most tourists refer to as "Qingcheng Mountain." The back mountain is famous for its natural scenery and is a great place for vacation and relaxation.
The front mountain of Qingcheng Mountain centers around Changguan and Shangqing Palace, with temples facing each other. Cultural attractions like the Hall of the Ancestor and Chaoyang Cave blend beautifully with natural landscapes such as Jinjian Rock, Shifeng Peak, and Zhangren Mountain. The main attractions in the scenic area include Laojun Pavilion, Yuecheng Lake, Tianshi Cave, Guanyin Pavilion, Shangqing Palace, Natural Painting, and Hall of the Ancestor.
If you do not wish to hike, there are sightseeing vehicles and cable cars available in the scenic area, which require you to pay for them separately.
The tour has ended, heading to the hotel in Chengdu for check-in and rest.
