Itinerary

DAY1:Arrive in Huangshan City - Check into a 5-star hotel in the city & free time to explore the old street

Upon arrival at Huangshan, your dedicated driver will be waiting for you at the exit of Huangshan North Railway Station/Huangshan Tunxi Airport

Recommended Free Activity: Tunxi Old Street

Tunxi Old Street is located in the central area of Tunxi District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. As a must-visit spot when traveling to Huangshan and Hongcun, it's worth taking some time to explore Tunxi Old Street. Tunxi Old Street is one of the earliest developed scenic old street areas. The architecture maintains the traditional style of ancient Huizhou buildings, inheriting the architectural characteristics of Huizhou residences. Its planning layout and architectural form exhibit distinct Huizhou architectural features, while preserving the original structures and styles, with small blue tiles, whitewashed walls, horse-head walls, and an antique charm.

DAY2 Depart from the hotel - 【Exploring Huangshan in Depth】 Overnight stay at the top of Huangshan & Watching the sunset & Pick the stars with your hands

The hotel offers a buffet breakfast.

Your personal guide will pick you up at the hotel and lead you to Tangkou Town at the foot of Huangshan Scenic Area.

Arrive at Tangkou, and transfer to the Xinguo Line scenic bus to Xuanyun Valley Cableway; the guide will take you on the cableway up the mountain to Baiao Ridge Station (80 yuan/one way, cableway fee not included). You can choose to take the cableway up the mountain at your own expense or hike up the mountain depending on your physical condition;

Huangshan Scenic Area is located in Tangkou Town, Huangshan District, Huangshan City. Since ancient times, Huangshan has been one of China's most famous mountains, known for its "Four Wonders": peculiar pine trees, strange rocks, seas of clouds, and hot springs. In addition to these, the rime ice, snowy landscapes, and sunrises are also attractions that tourists will not want to miss. As an ancient saying goes, "After visiting the Five Mountains, one need not look at other mountains; after visiting Huangshan, one need not look at the Five Mountains."

tour

Flying Stone, also known as Flying Peak or Immortal Peach Peak, is located between Bright Summit and Paiyun Pavilion, and is one of the landmarks of Huangshan. The Flying Stone stands 12 meters tall, weighs 600 tons, and has a very small contact area with the mountain rock at its base, making it appear precarious yet it remains upright, which is quite miraculous. In 1987, the CCTV version of "Dream of the Red Chamber" was filmed here. The Flying Stone resembles a giant rock that has fallen from the sky onto the cliff. According to legend, during the Song Dynasty, there was a stonemason named Shan Fu who wished to build a bridge for the people of his hometown. The project was grand and extremely labor-intensive. Moved by his dedication, Tieguai Li, one of the Eight Immortals, used his magical powers to transport stones from Huangshan to the construction site. Afterward, there was one giant stone left over. Tieguai Li swam to Huangshan, saw the beautiful scenery, and decided to leave the stone there. From then on, this Flying Stone took root in its current location.

Check-in at the Mountain Top Hotel, Double Standard Room (including double breakfast)

In the evening, you can head to Lion Peak to enjoy the beautiful sunset over Huangshan. After a day of exploring, return to your hotel and have a good rest.

DAY3 【Continuation of Huangshan Tour】 Enjoy the Spectacular Sunrise & Traverse the West Sea Grand Canyon - Return to the City

If you are willing to get up early, you can enjoy the magnificent sunrise at nearby locations such as Shuguang Pavilion, Qingliang Terrace, Lion Peak, and Shixin Peak (please pay attention to the electronic bulletin board at the hotel front desk for specific weather conditions and sunrise times).

The West Sea Grand Canyon, also known as Baiyun Valley and Dreamland Scenic Area, is a newly developed scenic spot in the Huangshan Scenic Area. It has fewer tourists in groups, making it suitable for those who enjoy hiking and exploring. The valley features peculiar rock formations and deep caves, with many trails built along sheer cliffs, highlighting the mystery and peril of the landscape.

The Welcome Pine is one of the landmarks of Huangshan, located next to the Yuping Pavilion. If you climb from the front mountain to the Welcome Pine, it means you have reached the top of Huangshan. The Welcome Pine leans against the Qing Shi rock, emerging from the stone, with a height of about 10 meters and an age of at least 800 years. One side of its branches extends outwards, resembling a host welcoming guests with outstretched arms, in a graceful posture.

DAY 4 Depart from the city hotel - Hongcun Scenic Area - End of the itinerary - Transfer to the high-speed train station or airport

Wake up naturally, enjoy breakfast at the hotel

Travel to the countryside in Chinese painting - Hongcun: Founded during the Southern Song Dynasty in the Shaoxi period, it has a history of over 900 years. The ancient Hongcun people were remarkably innovative, pioneering the field of "bionics" by planning and constructing a unique water system resembling an ox-shaped village and an artificial waterway, creating a significant wonder among the world’s historical and cultural heritage; the village features a harmonious blend of tiered buildings and picturesque lake and mountain scenery, presenting an elegant interplay of tranquility and vibrancy, with beauty to be found everywhere, making every step feel like entering a painting. From the natural environment outside the village to the internal water system, streets, and buildings, even the interior decoration, everything has been preserved in its original state, merging cultural and natural landscapes into one, exhibiting unique shapes and possessing exquisite pastoral beauty, thus earning the title of "the countryside in Chinese painting." It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on November 30, 2000.

At the end of your trip, the brick-and-mortar driver will take you to the station or airport, where you can board your pre-booked high-speed train or flight, returning to your warm home or heading to the next destination.
